Feb 27th 2008 - Microsoft Releases Windows Server 2008
| | Windows Server 2008 and Vista SP1 have been released to manufacturing. Server 2008 will
be officially shipping before Microsoft's "Global Launch Wave" of enterprise products on
February 27.
Server 2008 changes mostly involve enhanced enterprise features including Windows PowerShell,
Server Core, Network Access Protection (NAP) and Hyper-V.
In addition to curing a lot of application compatibility problems, Vista SP1 includes reliability
and performance improvements; easier deployment; and Kernel Patch Protection APIs making
it easier for third-party security products to work with Vista. |
